Federal Government Hands Over 129 Homes to Beneficiaries in Nasarawa Under Renewed Hope Housing Agenda
The Federal Government has delivered 129 completed housing units to beneficiaries at the Nasarawa Technology Village in Karu, Nasarawa State. The project is part of the ongoing drive to make housing affordable and accessible for Nigerians.
Speaking during the handover, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Muttaqha Darma, said the homes were provided under the Renewed Hope Housing Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the Minister, more units will be delivered before December 2026. The government remains committed to providing 100,000 housing units to Nigerians before the end of the President’s first tenure.
Darma also disclosed that the remaining 122 beneficiaries will receive their keys by December. This will bring the total number of homes in the project to 251. The initial allocation was meant for beneficiaries at Brains and Hammers Bungalow City, but that site was later assigned to Nigerian military personnel.
The Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN, Shehu Usman Osidi, praised the Minister for pushing the Renewed Hope Housing Agenda forward. He also appreciated Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, for donating land to the Federal Government for the project.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Federal Government, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Ministry of Housing for helping them achieve their dream of owning a home.
